Your choice
Essential cookies provide sign-in, security, and your privacy choice. Optional preference storage remembers the last server and Embed Studio drafts only after you select “Accept preferences”. “Essential only” leaves that storage off. Both choices let you use the site. We do not load advertising pixels or website analytics scripts.
Under § 25 TDDDG, we rely on the exception for storage necessary to provide a service you request and ask for consent for optional preferences. Where personal data is involved, consent follows Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; service and security processing follows the bases described in our privacy policy.
Cookie inventory
- next-auth.session-token (with a
__Secure-prefix on HTTPS): encrypted sign-in session; cookie lifetime up to 8 hours. A long session may use numbered cookie chunks. - next-auth.state and next-auth.pkce.code_verifier: protect the Discord sign-in redirect; up to 15 minutes.
- next-auth.csrf-token and next-auth.callback-url: protect sign-in requests and remember the return page; browser session.
- near_dh (with a
__Secure-prefix on HTTPS): binds a session to a trusted browser; up to 30 days. - near_vs: binds a server-verification flow to this browser; up to 10 minutes.
- near_cookie_notice: remembers your essential-only or optional-preferences choice and its version; 180 days. Shared across near.rip subdomains.
Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, may also use security cookies when it presents a challenge. See Cloudflare’s cookie information for those purposes and lifetimes.
Browser storage
If you accept preferences, the dashboard remembers the last server you opened in near.lastGuild, and Embed Studio saves your draft in near-studio-draft-v2. Local storage remains until you clear it, withdraw consent, or the tool replaces it. Sign-in handoff and an in-progress premium order use essential session storage, which lasts for the browser tab’s session.
Your controls
Use “Cookie information” in the footer to change your choice at any time. Selecting “Essential only” withdraws preference consent and clears the optional entries on the current origin. Other near subdomains clear their entries on your next visit and check your choice before reading or saving them. Your browser’s site-data settings let you inspect, block, or delete cookies and local storage for near.rip and its subdomains. Clearing sign-in or trusted-device cookies can sign you out. The tools remain usable without saved preferences.
If we introduce optional tracking, we will update this inventory and obtain any required consent before it runs. See our privacy policy for personal-data requests.
